New York/Flatiron District- Beecher's Handmade Cheese

Entrez chez Beechers, une fromagerie pas comme les autres. Il y a les étals bien garnis, le stand de traiteur, et au milieu de cette grande pièce, un cube de verre qui vous permettra de voir la fabrication de ce que vous allez acheter. Les fromagères souriantes et les machines qui ronronnent et travaillent les pâtes pressées. Il règne une ambiance de campagne et voir cet artisanat sur Broadway est un véritable bonheur!

You must see it to believe it! Moi, the insignificant french person realizing that the cheese monopole of my nation is over! 

Step by Beecher's, a cheese shop so much NOT like any other cheese shop. For sure, you can find generously filled stalls, and even a sandwich corner. But the main thing to see here is this glass cube that protects the cheese factory. You can see your cheese being made from step number one to the moment it's in your panini. The cheese makers are smiling, the machines are purring, it's the countryside in New York, and witnessing that handicraft on Broadway is a joyful experience!
